Chop Shop
Chop shop is the type of movie that reminds us, we haven't got it that bad. I'm not going to say this is a ultimate classic like many of the internets critics will have you believe but it's worth a watch if you have time spare.
Chop shop follows a young 11 year old boy named Ale who lives and works in a mechanical garage. Ale is also responsible for looking after his older sister who is 16 years old. This film doesn't follow much of a plot other than Ale's dream to open up a burger van so that he can support his family.
The films doesn't feel so much as acted to a tight script it has more of a loose improvised feeling to it, which worked for this film, however this looseness also leads to the films downfall as when the movie ends you will more than likely be asking your self 'is that it?'
Chop shop is an eye opening movie as you may think it is set in some poor country but you would be wrong, Chop Shop is based in the United States and shows a world that is hiding in plain site.
Mytvtalk.com Awards Chop Shop 3 out of 5 Stars.
