Righteous Kill
New York detectives Turk (De Niro) and Rooster (Pacino) have been partners for years, Turk is a tough but caring police officer that is described by is partner Rooster as a 'pitbull on crack'. Rooster on the other hand is a thoughtful but still equally as tough.
Years of criminals getting off the hook due to some technicalities have put a strain both on Turk and Rooster, and they can not take it any more when a child rapist and murdered gets off the hook, so for the first time in Turks career he bends the rules and sets the child murderer up for a crime he didn't commit.
Shortly after this event big time criminals such as rapists, drug dealers and pimps start to be executed by an unknown vigilantly. John Leguizamo and Donnie Wahlberg who play two rival police officers are also investigating the case and come to the conclusion that the assassin is more than likely a cop and all the evidence starts to point to Turk.
Most of the evidence in the film would have you believe Turk is the killer and he even confesses to on tape however there is a twist in the story which makes this a good 'who done it?' movie. Although the movie is a bit more predictable than it should be it is still defiantly worth watching.
De Niro and Pacino give the excellent performances that you would come to expect from Hollywood's best which makes this movie worth watching on its own. I award this movie with 4 stars out of 5.
