The Strangers
Starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman

the strangers

Review by Mytvtalk.com

A night that was supposed to be filled with celebration is quickly turned into a night of chaos and terror when the young couple Kristen McKay (Liv Tyler) and James Hoyt (Scott Speedman) here a knock on the door of their family vacation home in the early hours of the morning. The mysterious knocks soon become more than just knocks when 3 masked menaces terrorise the Hoyt's.

The Strangers is supposedly based on true events and follows Kristen And James a couple who seem to be on the brink of separation, but we get t o know this isn't the case but Kristen had declined the offer of marriage to James as she wasn't ready, so the couple were having a little argument.

Shortly after arriving at their family vacation home the couple hear a knock at the door and go to investigate where they are met by a creepy young girl who we don't get to see her face, however we hear her ask the Hoy's if some person is home, when the Hoyt's tell her she must have the wrong house she leaves.

Now for Mytvtalk.com honest rating

The Strangers unlike many other Horror/Slasher movie actually works as a Horror/Slasher movie and unlike many of these types of movies in this Genre the Strangers will actually scare you. From the unexpected knocks at the door, creaking floors, shadows, noises and strange happenings the Strangers is a heart pounding experience which is sure to make you cover your face a few times in fear.

The quick ending to the strangers lets this movie down a little, however having said Even though there's not a lot of gore in the end sequence when Kristen and James are murdered it's quite sickening to watch.

I'm quite impressed with the Strangers as over the current years I haven't watched a movie that has scared me even a little but this movie did, so Mytvtalk.com awards the strangers 4 stars out of 5. Now bring on the sequel.
