Warner brothers makers of the Harry Potter franchise are perusing legal action against an Indian film company over the film title used by the Indian company 'Hari Puttar' which is a film about a comedy of terrors.

Warner brothers have said they think the name is to close to their movies about the young wizard Harry Potter; however Munish Purii of Mirchi Movies has commented that "In my opinion, I don't think our title has any similarity or links with Harry Potter"

The case is due to go to high court in India on the 12th of September.

This news comes after Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince being pushed back by eight months to July 2009.

Warner Bros said the decision had been taken in order to guarantee the studio a major summer blockbuster in 2009.
