Review by Mytvtalk.com

Having not watched the original x-files TV series I wasn't that hyped up about seeing this movie but the trailer looked interesting enough so I thought I would give it a shot. However I had read some reviews of this movie which seamed not to like it, however keeping an open mind I went to watch X-Files I want to believe.

Having asked a few friend about the original X-files I was quite surprised when this movie didn't have any of the mysteries the original show had which included 'monsters, ufo's' and other paranormal activities, however this was fine by me however most of the people watching this movie will more than likely be fans of this type of paranormal activity that made this show so successful in the past.

Writer and Director Chris Carter seams to have banished all of these monsters and aliens and gone for a story involving a psychic paedophile priest (Connolly). The X-Files is set in a snowy West Virginia town where an agent of the FBI goes missing. Fox and Moulder are then called in to help out with the case, however most of the help comes from a paedophile priest that has visions of what is happening to the missing agent, however for some reason most of the characters believe the priest to be a fraud, I have no idea why this is after he proves them wrong numerous times.

Now for Mytvtalk.com honest rating

I enjoyed this movie but talking to other fans of the original series they have commented that this movie lacks all the paranormal activities that made the series so popular in the 90's, having said that I would recommend this movie as a stand alone thriller as it does work however it may not go as deep as some other thrillers out there. Fans of the original series may complain it lacks in certain areas but most of them still agreed their glad this movie came out.
