You don’t mess with the Zohan
Starring Adam Sandler, John Turturro
Review by Mytvtalk.com
The story follows Zohan (Sandler) an elite counter terrorism agent who has had enough of the fighting between the Israelites and the Palestinians. Zohan fakes his own death against his arch rival The Phantom (John Turturro) so that he can live his dream of being a hairstylist. Armed with an out of date hairdressing book, Zohan embarks on a journey to New York City to become the best hairdresser. Zohan who now calls himself Scrappy Coco quickly becomes popular with the old ladies as he offers ‘extra’ service which puts a smile on their faces.
Just as everything starts going Zohan’s way things turn for the worse when Zohan is recognized by some one who once threw a shoe at him and in return Zohan beat him up and took his goat.
Now for Mytvtalk.com honest rating
Overall I enjoyed this movie but it was to long and did lose its way towards the end of the movie. Even though most of the jokes in this movie were silly I did find my self laughing at a lot of them and one particular scene is when Zohan and a couple of his friends are kicking a cat around as a football. Some other items also got me laughing such as the way Zohan used Humus for everything from brushing his teeth, colouring hair to putting out fires.
Adam Sandler fans will enjoy this movie more than the general population however this isn’t one of his best works and is no where as near as some of his classics such as happy Gilmore or the water boy. Mytvtalk.com awards you don’t mess with Zohan 3/5 stars.
